Willie Morris is an accomplished author from Mississippi who is probably most famous for “My Dog Skip”.
The Willie Morris Award for Southern Fiction was started in 2007 to honor his optimistic writing about a complicated part of the country. I wanted to provide a convenient list of links to award winners and also encourage others to submit their own stories about the U.S. South. Winners can receive up to $12,000.
